Dazzled
The creature's vision is impaired by overstimulation — a bright flash, intense glare, or dazzling magical effect. Dazzled is the mildest vision-impairing condition, applying only a small penalty rather than blocking sight entirely.
Effects
- –1 penalty on attack rolls.
- –1 penalty on sight-based Perception checks.
- No penalty to AC; the creature retains its Dexterity bonus.
- Does not affect hearing-based Perception checks or other senses.
Ending the Condition
- Dazzle effects with a set duration end automatically when the duration expires.
- The remove blindness/deafness spell removes dazzled as well as blinded.
Related Conditions
- Blinded — a far more severe vision impairment; total concealment for all opponents, –2 AC, and loss of Dex bonus.
