Sickened
A sickened creature is feeling ill — queasy enough that its performance suffers across the board. It is the lesser of the two nausea-related conditions; a sickened creature can still act normally, just less effectively than usual.
Effects
- –2 penalty on all attack rolls, weapon damage rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks.
- The creature can still take all action types normally.
Ending the Condition
- Sickened with a limited duration ends when that duration expires.
- Neutralize poison or delay poison ends sickened caused by poison.
- Remove disease ends sickened caused by disease.
- Heal and restoration can remove ongoing sickened conditions.
Related Conditions
- Nauseated — more severe; reduces the creature to a single move action per turn, no attacks.
Common Sources
Ray of sickening; certain poisons (as a secondary effect); some disease progressions; symbol of weakness (secondary); the Nauseating Trail feat and similar abilities; some magical items. Sickened is a poison or disease effect depending on its source — creatures immune to poison or disease may be immune to the appropriate sickened sources. Constructs and undead are typically immune to sickened from poison or disease sources but may still be affected by magical sickened effects.
