Fatigued
A fatigued creature is tired and worn down. It can still act normally but is physically weakened and cannot push itself to run or charge. If it becomes fatigued again before recovering, it becomes exhausted.
Effects
- –2 penalty to Strength and Dexterity.
- Cannot run or charge.
- No speed penalty (unlike exhausted).
Ending the Condition
- After 8 hours of rest, the fatigued condition is removed.
- Lesser restoration, restoration, and heal remove fatigue immediately.
- A fatigued creature that becomes fatigued again becomes exhausted — rest to fatigued first, then another 8 hours to fully recover.
The Fatigue Chain
Fatigued (–2 Str/Dex)
Exhausted (–6 Str/Dex, half speed)
Related Conditions
- Exhausted — the severe form; –6 Str/Dex and half speed. Fatigued escalates to exhausted if applied twice.
- Staggered — also limits what a creature can do per round, but through action economy rather than ability penalties.
